Get some sleep woman

Hello foxy people

I am suffering today, does anyone care? Had a ridiculously massive weekend and am not sure if I was completely sober for any of it, but baby it was worth it! Wasn’t my fault that it was a long weekend…

Started on Thursday at my old stomping ground Slug and Lettuce where I haven’t been for aaaages. I guess you could say I hadn’t missed much; still the same old meat market atmosphere. I didn’t quite warm up until I heard my absolute favourite song of the moment and here goes Rachi’s second hit predication: ORSON. They are from California and they are brilliant.

Friday my flatmate Kiki and I started fake tanning – an essential pass time for any Antipodean as even the English and browner than me at the moment. The winter drained my skin of colour and I ain’t happy! I am ashamed to say I now love fake tanning and am more than a little addicted.

Saturday night Alina and I headed out for what was meant to be a nice quiet night – do they ever turn out that way? We started in Wimbledon for a guy Tom’s birthday, then made our way back to Fulham where we met up with Kik’s, her man Brownie and Jen for a couple more. The night ended at Belushi’s as all good nights do where I met up with Jackie and a few others and proceeded to Jackie’s House in Fulham Palace Road where Jax whipped up some strange concoction of chicken omelette and cheeky fries.

After a swim in the morning (had to be done after my strange omelette/fries munchies) and a power nap we started all over again. Alina and I headed to another Antipodean institution which I’d wanted to try out – The Redback in Acton Town. These are the places that anyone coming to the UK has to visit in order to truly experience a day/night out for Aussies - London style. We arrived there at 0330pm and lined for a total of 1 ½ hours which is not a good idea when your wearing 6 inch heels I can tell you that much. An old lady passed us in the street and asked what we were lining for – our answer ‘Um…beer?’
It was worth the wait, the live band was the best cover band I have ever heard and the atmosphere was just buzzing. We stayed long into the night and, after a stopover at a house in Acton, Alina and I finally arrived home at 4am….I think.

Heya Rach-good to hear you're still kicking. When you head south to Tassie?
