Mah Boots are bananas..B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce mah boots...

Yes these are my lovely new boots. They are my latest obsession...the love of my life so I thought I would dedicate a whole blog to them.

The new boots were made in Brazil by some of the finest
craftsmen in the world. They were carefully boxed and sent to the UK where they sat proudly on the top shelf in River Island. One rainy afternoon a girl (lets call her Rachael) strolled into the store and was immediately distracted by a lovely reversible fur gillet.......................................................

But something just didn't feel right. Was Rachael searching for something more...?

Seems she was. As she cast her eyes across the room she spotted the boots. Standing tall under the fluorescent lighting. And she has never looked back since. There has never been a love quite as strong as this. The whole of her department have now met her boots and love her boots. These boots it seems, have changed Rachael's life.

Somebody stop her

Hi Hobies

Things have been a little tense at the Fulham flat (major understatement) and Claire and I are currently living in the lovely Knightsbridge at her step mum's pad which boasts Harrods and Harvey Nichols just around the corner. Anyway because of the stress of finding another place to live, on top of the tension within our Fulham flat I disgraced myself in the most unladylike, unclassy way on Thursday night. For any family members, it was similar to Christmas Eve 2000...

...after drinking the contents of a medium bottle of vodka (some of it straight) and dancing along to the likes of Daniel Powter’s - Bad Day, Coldplay and the ass shaking Pussycat Dolls song - Don't cha, we headed to The Slug (how, I don’t remember.) Once inside I decided no I wasn’t drunk enough and ordered a glass of wine…hmm. I then chose to try out my dance moves – somehow my hand eye coordination was a little gone, then made my way outside for a sit down on the nice cool concrete. Claire was my wing lady and looked after me for most of the evening – thanks luv! Surprisingly I made it to work the next day with little more than sore legs from my yoga-like dancing and an even sorer ego.

I am thankful to say Friday night was much tamer. Claire, Alice and I went to Chan4 Bar and socialised with the security team.

Saturday was brilliant. After a lazy morning we went to view a property which resembled ‘Grandma’s house’ (so that’s a no) then spent the afternoon getting ready for a night out at Belushi’s which is a new bar in Fulham. It was heaps of fun, my dancing was a little more coordinated so much so that one guy asked for a dance off. After putting some money down we showcased our greatest moves then a group of seven or eight guys voted…funnily enough I won (I don’t think it was all that fair that only men voted but I’m not complaining!) We then had a Sunday Sex and the City fest with snacks and a good nights sleep .

Love and ass slaps

Times they are a changin

Hi peeps

I’m back having slackened off the old blogs for the past week. Naughty me. A lot has been happening so I've got news a-plenty...

1. Rachel moved out and Claire moved in. I felt quite emotional once it had actually happened. She now lives 5 minutes from work as apposed to an hour so she can save more money as she’s moving back to Australia in December. Sucks the big one but I know she’ll be a friend for life. Rachel played such an important role in my life from the time I arrived, introducing me to lots of fun people and showing me the happening places to go. She is the big sis I never had.

2. Claire and I have decided to get a studio apartment now that the lease at our current apartment is coming to an end in November. We would totally love to stay in the same area but just get somewhere without sharers which will allow us the freedom to be noisy little mingers 24/7. We have three to look at on Wednesday so I’ll keep ya’ll posted!

3. Went to see Saturday Night Fever with Liam from QLD. It was such a fantastic show, I would totally recommend seeing it. The lead was an ex Neighbours actor who used to play Casper years and years ago. He was stunningly gorgeous and totally pulled off all the John Travolta moves. I tried some of the moves down at the Slug last Thursday with mixed reviews from friends!

4. Claire, cousin Becs and I went out in Covent Garden to Punch and Judy’s and The Walkie on Saturday – it was a fun night, my favourite part was the £12 ride we took from Punch and Judy’s to Tiger Tiger. We hopped on a three-seater bike and got driven through the streets of London. We got the guy to race another bike and ended up kicking ass! Got some photos on my phone, the poor guys legs were sore by the time we arrived at the club!

5. Claire and I are off to France in November. Her step mum owns a Chalet in the French Alps which sleeps 18 so we are getting some people together and heading there for a weekend. So excited!! Luvin’ it. Now I just have to learn to ski...

How is Hobart? I am missing everyone loads. I’ve been here over 5 months now. The weather is cooling down and the coats are coming out. Time to get all snugly with a nice hot cocoa and an even hotter man…hehe.
